Dutch dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina, with partners the World Bank and the Dutch development bank FMO, has paid €430m for a controlling interest in Engro Foods, the second-largest dairy group in Pakistan, the Financieele Dagblad said on Wednesday.

Although the deal was announced in July, it is now clear that FrieslandCampina paid more for the stake than originally planned, the paper said.

Engro Corporation Foods will continue to operate under it own name as a part of FrieslandCampina Consumer Products Asia.
