Police investigate terrorist threat at Rotterdam airport
Police are carrying out a major security operation at Rotterdam’s airport following an anonymous tip off about a terrorist threat.
A number of ‘extra visible and invisible’ security measures have been implemented, police said in a statement.
All roads to the airport were closed off at around 12.30 and cars and buses searched. Flights have not been affected.
Last summer, security checks were stepped up at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport following reports of a terrorist threat.
