Mixed fortunes for Dutch clubs in European football

Ajax were already sure of progression to the knock-out rounds but with four wins out of five matches are seven points clear of group number two Standard de Liège

It was a different story for Rotterdam’s Feyenoord, who lost 4-0 away to Manchester United and are now third in group A, with three points separating the top three.

The third Dutch side in the competition, AZ of Alkmaar, are second in Group D with one match to play after beating Irish side Dundalk 1-0 away.
