Fifty Nijmegen college students have contracted an illness from an evening event in a sports park, reports the NOS.

In a possible norovirus outbreak, they have been affected with fever, diarrhea and vomiting since Thursday afternoon, reports the local GGD public health service.

A reporter from local broadcaster N1 reportedly saw the blighted students walking around with hands on their bellies, observing that while only some had been drinking alcohol, they had all eaten. The students are all at the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, which is reportedly shocked by how the introductory activities have gone down.
