AZ beat Vojvodina 3-0 in key Europa League battle
Alkmaar football club AZ put in a strong performance in their efforts to qualify for the group stage of the Europa League by beating FK Vojvodina 3-0 in the Serbian city of Novi Sad on Thursday night.
Midfielder Stijn Wuytens put away two of the goals, with Fred Friday scoring the third. The return leg takes place in Alkmaar next Thursday. Barring disasters, AZ are virtually assured of the ticket.
