Busiest day of the season at Schiphol airport
Friday is set to be the busiest day of the year at Schiphol airport and long waiting times are unavoidable, officials are warning passengers.
The airport is set to process 222,261 passengers over the 24 hours. Travellers are being recommended to arrive at Schiphol 30 minutes earlier than normal.
Nearly half the expected total are leaving the Netherlands to head off on holiday, but the delays will be due to the large number of people coming home, Schiphol said.
