More heavy showers today, but it will be warmer next week

people with umbrellas in the rainThe KNMI weather bureau has issued yet another weather warning for southern and eastern parts of the country on Friday, saying cloudbursts, with thunder and hail, will hit many areas in the early afternoon.

The storms could again lead to localised flooding, the KNMI said.

Some rain is also likely on Saturday but on Sunday and Monday it will be dry with sunny spells, the KNMI said. Later in the week, the temperature will begin to rise and could hit up to 27 degrees. However, there will still be some cloud and rain about.

There is also little change in the weather pattern in the KNMI’s long-term forecast. The meteorological summer begins on Tuesday.
