Just one week after the coldest King or Queen’s Day on record, Thursday was the sunniest Liberation Day ever with 14 hours of sunshine, weather forecasters said on Friday.

Friday and over the weekend, the temperature is set to hover around 25 degrees, according to RTL weather forecaster Nicolien Kroon. ‘There will be little wind in coastal areas today, so it will be warm there as well,’ she said.

From Tuesday it will be less warm and there is a chance of thunderstorms, she said.
