The Dutch rate of inflation remained stable at 0.6% in March, the national statistics office said on Thursday.

The low cost of petrol in March helped depress inflation, but an early Easter saw the cost of air travel, hotels and holiday cottages increase, causing a slight rise.

Inflation has been at 0.6% for the past six months.

Hospitality

The Dutch hospitality sector, which includes hotels, bars, cafes, restaurants and snack bars, will continue to grow this year, according to economists from ING, with turnover expected to increase by 3%.

They base their forecast on an increase in disposable income and the increasing number of tourists.

In 2015, the hospitality industry saw turnover rise 5.7%.
