House sales set to slow but recovery will continue

house for saleThe Dutch housing market will continue to recover in the coming years but the rise in house sales will slow, economists at ABN Amro bank said on Friday.

Last year, the number of houses changing hands rose 15%, but the growth will only be 5% this year and 2.5% in 2017, the economists say.

House prices, they forecast, will rise by an average of 3% this year, in line with 2015, but this will slow to 2% next year.
