Dutch police badge and radio walkie talkieAn armed man who drove off at high speed as police fired warning shots at his car has been arrested in Amsterdam.

The 18-year-old was picked up in the west of the capital, where he had been hiding since last week’s high-profile incident in the Osdorp district. He was being held in the youth detention centre in Lelystad for threatening behaviour and attempted armed robbery.
