British man arrested for Schiphol airport bomb threat

Main Entrance in Schiphol Airport- AmsterdamA 29-year-old British man was arrested at Schiphol airport on Friday morning after shouting several times that he had a bomb.

Departure hall 3 was closed for a time because of the bomb threat, RTL news said.

The man was arrested by military police. One photograph shows him lying on the ground by a check-in desk, surrounded by heavily armed police, as other passengers take cover.

The man’s luggage and the surrounding area was searched for explosives but nothing was found, RTL said.
