Right-wing splinter party drops celebrity lawyer leader

Bram Moszkowicz press conference stillRight-wing splinter party VoorNederland has sacked celebrity lawyer Bram Moszkowicz as party leader, Dutch news websites say on Wednesday.

Moszkowicz, who was disbarred in 2012 for bringing the profession into disrepute, was appointed the party’s figurehead in April last year.

VNL was formed by a number of dissident PVV parliamentarians and councillors who left the party after its leader Geert Wilders led supporters in an anti-Moroccan chant.

‘The board considers that Mr Moszkowicz has not … done enough to get across VNL’s message of lower taxes, less immigration, less EU and more security,’ the party said in a statement.
