New appeal to catch five British criminals living in Amsterdam

Screen Shot 2015-12-20 at 08.03.12A campaign to catch people wanted for serious crimes in Britain but living in the Netherlands has resulted in nine arrests, the Crimestoppers organisation said at the weekend.

In total, the names and photographs of 14 men wanted for questioning in the UK have been issued since the campaign started last year. It is being run in collaboration with Dutch partner organisation Bel M.

The remaining five suspects are wanted for crimes such as drug smuggling, rape and assault and are believed to be living in and around Amsterdam, the organisation said.

Crimestoppers has issued a new social media appeal for information to help catch the five men, saying they may be planning to return to the UK for Christmas.

Anyone with information should contact Meld Misdaad Anoniem on 0800 7000 or Crimestoppers (in the UK) on 0800 555111. All calls are taken anonymously.
