German intercity bus group launches Dutch services

flixbusGerman transport company Flixbus is launching a network of intercity bus routes in the Netherlands, linking nine cities with direct services.

From December 3, the company will offer four services a day between Rotterdam and Den Bosch and eight between Rotterdam and Nijmegen. Tickets will cost upwards of €6. However, the Rotterdam services will start well outside the city centre, on the Lombardijen and Zuidplein, the NRC reports.

Flixbus already offers international services from 17 Dutch cities to Germany and Belgium. The company hopes all Dutch cities with at least 100,000 residents will be included in the domestic network from next year.
