Drivers warned of foggy start to the day, Schiphol flights face delays

road in fogThe KNMI weather bureau has again warned that fog and mist will affect large parts of the Netherlands on Monday morning.

The code yellow weather warning applies to the entire country apart from Noord-Brabant and Limburg. Traffic information service VID is also warning of a ‘difficult rush hour’ because of poor visibility on many roads.

The mist is likely to have disappeared by the end of the morning, the KNMI said.

Schiphol airport is warning passengers they will face delays and cancellations. Travellers are being told to contact their airline for more information.

There was considerable disruption to flights on Sunday because of the morning mist.
