Dutch music scene stalwart Thé Lau dies of cancer
Singer and writer Thé Lau, who fronted Dutch band The Scene since 1979, has died of cancer at the age of 62.
Lau, who was known for his raw, rasping voice, was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2013. The Scene gave a string of farewell concerts in 2014 and he last performed on stage at a reading two weeks ago.
Fans are invited to celebrate his career at the Paradiso concert hall in Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon.
