Dutch companies win five internet Oscar Webby awards

human.coDutch companies have won five awards in the latest Webby prize-giving ceremony in New York. Webby awards are considered the Oscars of the internet industry.

Two awards went to app maker Human.co in the cities and urban innovation category for its Human Cities project. The Human.co app is an all-day activity tracker that the makers hope will inspire users to be more active.

INDG & Momka won in the lifestyle category for their Amikasa app which allows people to check out new furniture and fittings in a virtual version of their own home.

Fabrique took home a people’s voice award Webby for the navigation and structure of its website design for London’s Design Museum. The Amsterdam branch of 72andSunny won a people’s voice technical achievement award for its Night Walk project with Google in Marseille.
