Groningen to meet PEC Zwolle in Dutch cup final
A 3-0 victory over Excelsior of Rotterdam gave FC Groningen a place in the final of this year’s KNVB Cup on Wednesday evening.
Groningen have never won the cup. They will meet defending champions PEC Zwolle in the final on May 3 in Rotterdam’s Kuip stadium.
The big three Dutch clubs Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord were all eliminated from the competition in the early rounds.
