A worker for the Dutch central bank, who worked in the trust regulation department, has been sacked for working as an S&M prostitute for years, business magazine Quote reports on Monday.

The central bank has confirmed the woman has been fired over ‘integrity issues’. She previously worked for ABN Amro and ING and had been at the central bank for eight years, Quote says.

The woman advertised her services using the name Conchinta van der Waal and the motto ‘the kinkier the better’. Her roles included that of an SS commander, Quote says.

The revelations about her background are notable because all central bank staff have to undergo strict integrity checks when applying for the job, Quote points out.

Of the 5,469 people who have been screened since 2011, 614 were rejected. In the trust sector, the rejection rate is 36%.

Sources told the magazine that the central bank is looking at ways to improve its screening procedures.
