Biggest hotel in the Netherlands set for Amsterdam’s RAI

Rai hotel OMAThe biggest hotel in the Netherlands is to be built next to Amsterdam’s RAI exhibition centre, the Parool reported on Tuesday.

The 650 room Nhow Amsterdam RAI will be built on empty land next to the A10 ring road. The design is by city architects’ bureau OMA, founded by Rem Koolhaas. The hotel will be owned by Spanish hospitality group NH Hotels, which owns the city centre’s Krasnapolsky.

The 91-metre high hotel is constructed out of three blocks turned in different directions. The top floor will contain a bar, restaurant and media lounge.
