Mother arrested for attacking primary school teacher
Police in Zwolle have arrested a 33-year-old mother for assaulting a primary school teacher.
The woman allegedly attacked the teacher after a discussion about an incident involving her child got out of hand.
At one point the child’s mother grabbed the teacher by the throat, causing her to lose consciousness for a short period and injuring her neck, news agency ANP reports.
The public prosecution department said it is taking the case very seriously because teachers have a public role. Sentences are higher for people convicted of attacking public officials.
