Midfielder Ellen Hoog, who plays for Amsterdam, was unveiled as the women’s International Player of the Year for 2014.

Hoog made her international debut at the age of 17, and has two Olympic gold medals, two World Cup wins and a Hockey World League title to her name. She was also named player of the tournament at the 2014 Hockey World Cup in The Hague last year.

The Dutch also took both International Goalkeeper of the Year titles. Jaap Stockmann, who turns out for Bloemendaal, won the men’s award while Laren’s Joyce Sombroek, who conceded just one goal during the World Cup, took the women’s.
