Chinese firms dominate new The Hague arrivals

Some 40% of the foreign investment projects in The Hague region last year were made by Chinese firms, according to new figures from the West Holland Foreign Investment Agency.

In total, the WFIA attracted 40 new firms to the region, of which 16 were Chinese. The majority of investment projects occurred in the business services sector, followed by projects in IT and telecom.

There were also some additions to The Hague’s oil and gas cluster. Oilinvest, the parent company of Tamoil, opted to locate its headquarters in The Hague, while Petrogas from Oman set up business in Voorburg after taking over the Dutch operations of the oil company Chevron, the WFIA said.
