Teenager jailed for fraud after arranging private jet trip to Ibiza

A Dutch teenager has been jailed for 10 days after conning a private jet rental company into giving him a free flight to Ibiza.

The con took place in July 2013 and involved the 17-year-old youth posing as the booking agent for a famous dj. He sent the jet rental company forged bank statements and pretended the flight had already been paid for.

The youth and two friends then flew to Ibiza for the day, drinking the minibar dry, and then took a free helicopter trip to Antwerp, Dutch media report.

The youngster, who is now 18, was jailed for forgery for 20 days, 10 suspended, by a court in Amsterdam last week.
