A man has died in hospital in Zwolle after at least 15 bullets were fired at his car in the residential area of Stadshagen

The 48-year-old man was seriously injured in the attack, which police say is likely to have been a gangland killing.

Locals report hearing shots just before 06.00 hours. The man’s car came to a halt in the front garden of a house. The witness said the dead man lived opposite them.

The shooter is thought to have driven off in a car. The street has been sealed off while police forensic experts investigate.
