PSV beat Ajax at home for the first time in six years

PSV beat Ajax 3-1 at the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday – the first time since 2008 that the Eindhoven club has beated Ajax on their home turf.

Ajax dominated for much of the game but coach Frank de Boer’s players were unable to deal with a number of crafty PSV counters, lead by Luciano Narsingh and Luuk de Jong.

PSV is currently top of the Eredivisie with nine points from three games.

In other premier league matches, Feyenoord of Rotterdam lost 2-1 to FC Utrecht. FC Twente drew 1-1 against NAC Breda and ADO Den Haag beat Groningen 3-0. PEC Zwolle, who won the KNVB Cup last season, beat Vitesse 2-1.
