Four Dutch DJs in Forbes highest earners list, Hardwell new entrant

Four Dutchmen grace the latest list of the world’s best DJs compiled by Forbes magazine.

Top rated Dutch national is Tiësto in joint third place with estimated earnings of $28m. Much of this comes from a residency in Las Vegas, Forbes said.

In sixth place is Afrojack with earnings last year of $22m. Hardwell is a new entrant in 11th place and Armin van Buuren is 12th. Calvin Harris topped the magazine’s Electronic Cash Kings list with an estimated income of $66m.

Last October, readers of DJMag voted six Dutch DJs into their top 10. Hardwell, real name Robbert van de Corput, topped that ranking.

In December 2012, MPs agreed to include pop and dance music in the Netherlands’ top industrial sector focus, by officially adding it to the creative sector definition.
