Christians on hunger strike for fellow believers

A group of around 30 Christians have gone on hunger strike to protest at government inaction in northern Iraq where the Islamic State (Isis) is killing their fellow believers.

The group in Enschede in Twente province say they will continue their protest for a week.

One of them, former Labour councillor George Hanna, told the Nos that the Dutch government could do more and should recognise that Christians in Iraq are facing genocide.
