Chanel International buys Amsterdam office block

French fashion house Chanel has spent almost €45m on a new European headquarters in Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district.

Chanel has bought an office development which is still being built and will occupy one of the floors. The others will be rented out.

Chanel declined to say if the ground floor retail space would become a new shop, the Parool reported. The company already has a boutique in the city’s PC Hooftstraat.

The company’s financial holding company is already located in the Netherlands.
