Dick Advocaat to coach Serbia’s national football team
Dutch football coach Dick Advocaat is joining Serbia from August 1 with the task of ensuring the Serbians qualify for the European Cup in France in 2016.
Advocaat, who is 66, left AZ of Alkmaar last season and told Voetbal International he no longer wanted to work as a club trainer. He has previously coached the Netherlands (twice), UAE, South Korea, Belgium and Russia.
Serbia will play Portugal, Denmark, Armenia and Albania in the qualifications for one of the 24 places in the European competition.
