Germans invest in Amsterdam student accommodation

The German investment company International Campus (IC) is to invest €150m in the construction of 2,250 new student homes in the Netherlands.

Most of the new homes, which will have a maximum rent of €395 per month, will be in Amsterdam, the Financieele Dagblad reports.

The paper estimates that by 2025 the shortage of student accommodation will reach 70,000 rooms, making investment in the market attractive.

IC is not the first foreign investor in the Dutch market. the New Zealand group City Living has already provided 1,250 student rooms.
