First Dreamliner aircraft lands at Schiphol

The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner landed at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport shortly after noon on Thursday.

The aircraft is owned by travel company Arke which is the first Dutch organisation to incorporate the plane into its fleet.

The Dreamliner is a long-range, wide-body airliner and is lighter, more comfortable, more fuel-efficient and quieter than its predecessors.

The first commercial flight of Arke’s new plane is to Antalya on June 8. It will then make its first intercontinental flight to Curaçao and Bonaire on June 12.
