Dutch mobile phone charges are mid-range in Europe

The Netherlands is in the middle bracket of European countries when it comes to mobile phone charges, research carried out by Telecompaper shows.

The Greeks are the worst off. There a sim only subscription with 1,000 ] minutes of calls and 2,000 Mb of internet costs €92 a month. In Denmark the same subscription costs €20 and in the Netherlands €42.

The research was carried out in 16 European countries in the first quarter of 2014.

Analyst Tim Poulus told the Telegraaf the cost difference depends on what sort of subscription is taken out. ‘In the Netherlands you would be worst off with an expensive phone and more than 1,000 minutes of phone calls,’ he told the paper.
