Dutch duo win European beach volleyball title
Dutch duo Madelein Meppelink and Marleen van Iersel on Saturday took the European beach volleyball title in what is their first season as a team.
They beat Swiss team Tanja Goricanec and Tanja Hüberli by 21-17 and 21-16 to take the title in Calgari. Van Iersel was European champion in 2012 with Sanne Keizer.
