Petrol prices, Easter holidays force up inflation

The Dutch annual rate of inflation rose to 1.2% in April, compared with 0.8% in March, the national statistics office CBS said on Thursday.

The rise is the largest since October 2012.

The CBS says petrol prices, airline tickets and holiday rentals are the main reasons for the increase. The Easter break fell entirely in April this year and so pushed up inflation, the CBS said.
