Former ING chief executive takes over at KPMG Nederland

Former ING chief executive Jan Hommen has been named as the new chairman at the Dutch arm of accountancy group KPMG.

Hommen’s contract runs for ‘four years or less’ and he will stay in the job until a permanent replacement has been found.

Jurgen van Breukelen resigned earlier this month. He had been in the firing line over possible tax fraud in connection with the company’s new headquarters in Amstelveen, bribery allegations and a string of other issues at client companies.

Also on Monday, Martine Frijlink, who has managed the quality and risk management portfolio at KPMG since 2013, resigned.
