Dutch soldiers in Mali take shelter during rocket attack

Dutch soldiers serving with the UN in Mali took shelter on Wednesday night after a rocket attack close to their base, the defence ministry has confirmed.

However there was no serious danger and the nearest rocket exploded about one kilometre from the Dutch camp, the ministry said. ‘After the alarm was sounded, everyone went to the bunkers for shelter,’ the spokesman said.

There are some 450 Dutch soldiers in Kamp Castor.
