Dutch score well in EU employment figures

The number of people in work in the Netherlands dropped again in 2013, but the Dutch employment rate is still higher than in most other European Union countries, according to figures published on Monday by Eurostat.

On average, 76.5% of those aged between 20 and 64 were in work last year. In the rest of the EU, only Sweden with 79.8% and Germany with 77.1% scored higher.

Greece and Croatia have the worst figures with 53.5% of 20 to 64-year-olds in work.
