Dutch forensic institute carries out fewer criminal case post mortems

The Dutch forensic institute NFI carried out far fewer post mortems in connection with criminal cases last year and in 2012 than in previous years.

In total, the NFI carried out 426 post mortems in 2011 but this went down to 339 in 2012 and 337 in 2013. Neither the NFI nor the public prosecution department can explain the drop, news agency ANP says.
