Dutch radio dj breaks world record for disc spinning

Dutch dj Giel Beelen broke the world record for running a radio show in the early hours of Tuesday morning to go into the Guinness Book of Records.

At 05.00 hours Beelen had been broadcasting his radio show on 3FM for 191 hours, one hour longer than previous record holder, the Belgian Lennart Creël.

The 36-year-old dj will continue broadcasting until the end of his morning show at 10.00, clocking up a total of 196 hours.
