Security stepped up at driving licence theory tests

The Dutch driving licence organisation CBR is looking at ways to stop people committing fraud when taking their theory tests which could include security surveillance.

In Amsterdam a two-week experiment has begun involving detection portals to stop learner drivers bringing recording equipment into the exam rooms. Security guards are also patrolling during the exam to stop people cheating.

The CBR says there has been a large increase in fraud in recent years. If the Amsterdam experiment is a success, it will be extended nationwide.
