Local elections: More people have doubts about who to vote for

Over one-third of voters still don’t know which party to vote for in the local elections on March 19, according to research carried out for the home affairs ministry.

In total, 1,900 people were asked about their voting plans.

The results show more people are unsure who to vote for than had doubts at the same stage in the campaign in 2010. People who voted Labour or for the VVD last time round are most likely to have doubts about their choice.

The anti-immigration PVV, the Socialists and D66 are most popular among first time voters.
