Dutch football team out of Fifa top 10

The Dutch national football team has dropped out of the top 10 of the Fifa world rankings for the first time since 2002.

Oranje’s 2-0 loss to France earlier this month pushed the Dutch squad from 10th to 11th place, behind Belgium. In June 2011, Oranje headed the rankings and was in the top three for a long period.

Spain, drawn in the same group as the Netherlands at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, is currently top rated. Chile, also in Group B, is 15th, also down one place. Australia completes the Group B line-up and is 63rd.
