Dutch and Chinese firms sign trade deals worth €1.5bn: minister

Dutch and Chinese firms have signed contracts to the value of €1.5bn during the official state visit by president Xi Jinping this weekend.

The major contracts included the dairy sector and airline KLM, a spokesman for foreign trade minister Lilianne Ploumen said on Sunday evening.

The president arrived in the Netherlands on Saturday with a large trade delegation and will spend the next two days at the nuclear security summit in The Hague.
