Man dies after fireworks go off in football club canteen
A 26-year-old man was killed after fireworks went off inside a football club canteen in Veendam.
The amateur club was celebrating winning a championship when the firework exploded in the man’s face, Trouw reports. Police are now investigating the incident.
Football club vv Veendam 1894 was created after professional club SC Veendam went bankrupt in March 2013.
