Pussy Riot members talk human rights with Dutch foreign minister

Two members of Russian punk group Pussy Riot are in the Netherlands on Friday and will meet foreign minister Frans Timmermans to discuss human rights.

Maria Aljochina and Nadezjda Tollikonnikova told current affairs show Nieuwsuur on Thursday evening they will ask Timmermans to reduce the size of the official Dutch delegation to the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The Netherlands is sending king Willem-Alexander and queen Máxima for five days. while prime minister Mark Rutte will also be at the opening ceremony. Sports minister Edith Schippers will also be in Russia for the event.

Since their release from jail for singing an anti-Putin song in a church, the two women have focused on human rights issues.
