More jobs to go at Holland Casino

Dutch state-owned casino group Holland Casino on Tuesday announced the loss of between 150 and 200 jobs at its 14 individual casinos.

The new job losses are in addition to the 100 to 300 announced last November which are being shed at the group’s headquarters

The company, which is facing heavy competition from online gambling, is currently restructuring and giving the individual casinos more say in how they are run.

The 14 casinos have each come up with their own savings plan which include the job losses and other measures, such as closing unprofitable gambling tables at quiet times and concentrating on regular guests, Nos reports.

Holland Casino is hoping the moves will save €18m.
