One in 10 is going on a Christmas holiday
Some 1.8 million people are going on holiday during the Christmas break, according to the Dutch tourist board NBTC.
Around 900,000 of them will holiday in the Netherlands, slightly up on last year’s total. Germany is the most popular foreign destination, followed by Austria, Belgium and France, the tourist board said.
