Not quite half of Dutch women are economically independent
Fewer than half of Dutch women are economically independent, although there was a slight improvement last year, according to new figures from the national statistics office CBS.
Last year 48.5% of women aged 15 to 65 were considered to be independent financially, compared with 41.8% 10 years ago, the Financieele Dagblad said.
While women’s financial position has improved, the number of men who are economically independent has fallen from 71% to 67.1% over the past 10 years.
